Congratulations to our six new square dancers who were honored on Sunday, April 28, at our Graduation Night/Potluck Dinner. We welcome you! Thank you to everyone who were their angels the past 8 months and to all of you who brought so many delicious foods for our potluck dinner. Thank you to John Anderson for the many flowering plants that decorated our tables that evening.
On April 20, sixteen club members danced at a Copycats dance, retrieving our club banner and stealing theirs! Another happy evening for everyone.
Dance-O-Rama is just days away, on May 4. If you haven’t already purchased your ticket, you can buy one at the door. See the website for more details. Thank you to the many club members who contributed to the club’s basket. May this annual gathering be a grand one.
May is almost here and beginning Sunday, May 5, we are dancing at the Henrietta Fire Hall. The summer hours are 5:00-6:30 p.m. for our beginning waltz round dance class and 7:00-9:00 pm for square dancing. On May 5, Mike Callahan will be caller and Mark Thone will be cuer. May 12 is Mother’s Day and the club is not dancing. Warm wishes to all our mothers. May 19 is Silly T-Shirt Night. Jim Gotta will be caller and Mark Thone will be cuer. May 26 is Memorial Day and the club is not dancing.
A square dancing demo is being held at Anchor Christian Church (375 Beaver Road) on May 11, 1:00-2:00 pm. Volunteers are needed. The sign up sheet is on the information table.
Also volunteers are needed on Sunday evenings to help with 50/50 raffle, set-up and clean-up. Please look for the sign-up sheet when you check in on Sunday evenings. The Board members have greatly appreciated the assistance that many of you have given the past months and are hoping that you can volunteer again.
